About this experience

Experience the natural beauty and adventure of Washington Slagbaai National Park with a local guide!

This half-day tour is perfect for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and anyone who wants to explore Bonaire beyond the beach. With a guide who knows the park well, you’ll visit some of the most stunning and hidden spots on the island.

The tour includes stops at salt lakes where you can see flamingos in their natural habitat, quiet beaches, and beautiful coves. You’ll also get the chance to snorkel in clear waters surrounded by nature. Along the way, enjoy a tasty local snack like a fresh pastechi (a traditional pastry filled with chicken, beef, or cheese).

Washington Slagbaai National Park is the largest protected area on Bonaire and covers about one-fifth of the island. It’s home to many native birds, reptiles, and plants, and includes two internationally protected wetlands. The park also has a rich history; it was once inhabited by the Caiquetio Indians and later became one of Bonaire’s most important plantations.

The roads in the park are not paved, so expect a fun off-road adventure with bumpy trails and rugged terrain. Your guide will make sure you stay safe and comfortable throughout the journey, and there will be plenty of chances to take photos and enjoy the views.

Whether you're interested in wildlife, snorkeling, local culture, or just a great day outdoors, this tour offers a little bit of everything in one unforgettable experience.
